How to create luxurious, contemporary residences that are exclusive and sought-after addresses yet remain in complete harmony with their timeless Mediterranean setting? That was the question our Cala Corral complex, on the island of Ibiza, sets out to answer.
Pinar Tarida SL
In our masterplan, modern luxury and island nature peacefully coexist. Every structure that is a part of the plan enjoys wonderful views towards the sea. The use of the same simple geometry and a consistent materials palette ensures a unified design that harmonizes with, rather than distracts from, the beautiful setting. The various units are linked by in-between spaces that make the most of the stunning location and extend the indoor spaces to the outdoors (and vice versa).
The complex consists of a boutique hotel with an exclusive restaurant, a sports club, a wellness centre and a park. Surrounding these facilities are 36 luxury villas ranging from 300 m² to 1000m² in size. The masterplan is based on studies of both the site topography and its views. The plot slopes gently towards the sea, and careful positioning of the different volumes is required to ensure open sea views from all the villas. To maximize the views from each and every plot, the villas have an upper floor as well as a lower one.
With their focus on the relationship between interior and exterior, the villas are wonderful places to relax in the beautiful natural environment. Large glass sliding doors mean that the sequence of covered exterior terraces and the main living areas seem to flow into each other, forming a single space. Located on the south façade, they open the living areas towards the sea views while also serving as a climate control element, creating shadow and avoiding overheating. The terraces connect with the swimming pool area surrounded by the landscape of the plot, carefully designed with local species. Elsewhere too, the façades have strategic openings ensuring both privacy and a strong connection with the great outdoors.
