MVSA Architects is looking for a medior or senior Finance & operations manager to support the board. As a Finance & operations manager you are responsible for invoicing and budget management. You are responsible for drawing up project schedules and quotations and the assessment of contracts with consultants and clients. You draw up time schedules and process these in the administration software (Exact & Ruby) used by MVSA. You keep a close eye on the progress of projects on the basis of the time administration. And on the basis of the delivered products and planning. You signal violations and possible additional works in a timely manner. And prepares accurate reports. Activities are very diverse, usually structured but often also ad hoc, and require a high degree of accuracy, discipline and flexibility.

We are looking for an independent and stress-resistant personality with 5-10 years of experience in a similar position, preferably at a medium-sized or large architectural firm or construction-related engineering firm. Or with at least a great interest in architecture. You preferably have knowledge of and experience with the DNR and the contract and insurance conditions applicable to architectural firms. And you have a relevant network in real estate.

Activities

Finance

  • preparing quotations
  • drafting and adjusting job descriptions and expense schedules
  • assess contract proposals third parties
  • attending and preparing contract meetings
  • updating and checking actuals estimate in combination with Ruby
  • identify additional work and draw up additional work offers
  • drawing up subsequent costing projects • preparing billing overviews
  • Billing from Ruby


Operations

  • propose project schedules and link them to Ruby administration
  • monitoring project planning and identifying additional work
  • preparing project leaders' meetings and providing input prior to these meetings
  • schedule work
  • keeping track of holiday hours administration employees (ruby)

What we ask for

  • A team player with a high degree of independence
  • Good editorial, communication and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of the Architectural Industry and the DNR/BNA/SFA etc.
  • Experience with contract management and negotiation
  • Knowledge of and experience with existing and new contract forms
  • Relevant network in the real estate world
  • 5-10 years of experience (medior) or >10 years (senior) in a similar position
  • Education at a minimum of HBO or WO level
  • Knowledge of accounting packages Ruby – Exact and a master in Excel
