This construction site visit provided us with a perfect opportunity to give our MVSA interns a thorough insight into the construction process, as all four arms of the building are at different stages of completion, with some spaces almost finished, while others are still in the structural construction phase.
Slotervaart, formerly known as Slotervaart Hospital, is undergoing a beautiful transformation. This X-shaped brutalist icon is preparing for a new life, including a striking new element: our crowning rooftop extension. Our extension provides Slotervaart with an additional 7,000 m² of usable office space, surrounded by glass on all sides and crowned with a cantilevered canopy. The two new additional floors offer users panoramic views over the bustling Amsterdam West district.
