Exceptional Architecture
After completing a master plan process with the Municipality of Amsterdam, a consortium of three top architectural firms has worked on the design and execution of this urban redevelopment along the Amstel River.
- The Amstel Vista office building on Treublaan was designed by the American architecture firm SOM.
- The London Tower office building on Weesperzijde was designed by MVSA.
- Dam & Partners is responsible for designing the 75-meter-high residential tower and also serves as the supervisor for the entire ensemble.
- Landscape architect MADMA designed the "Japanese-style" rooftop garden located between the buildings.
Amstel Vista / London Tower
This is a high-quality project whose conceptual development began in 2016. NEOO is responsible for overall project management. Over the coming years, the site will see the realization of 203 rental apartments, comprising 30% social housing, 30% mid-range rentals, and 40% in the free rental sector. Construction has already begun on the two-level underground parking garage with 187 spaces. Subsequently, work will continue on the building podium, which will include entrances for the buildings and space for commercial functions. The two office buildings are scheduled for completion by the end of 2027, with the residential tower to follow in summer 2028.
Prioritizing Quality
With over 200 rental homes, many of which are either social or mid-range, the project addresses a critical housing need in the city. Additionally, the two high-end office buildings on Treublaan and Weesperzijde complete the vision for the area. This joint development combines a prime location with exceptional architecture, and the developers are confident that within a few years, this development will be a cluster of iconic buildings for Amsterdam.
