MVSA wins tender for Prinsengracht complex

The former Prinsengrachtziekenhuis (Prinsengracht Hospital) has been sold by the Onze Lieve Vrouwen Gasthuis (OLVG) to COD (Cradle of Development) after an extensive tender and sales procedure. The Prinsengracht Hospital building will be redeveloped into a lively complex to live and work.
The winning concept design was made by MVSA Architects, in collaboration with Architectenbureau J. van Stigt.
The characteristic 19th century property on the Amsterdam Prinsengracht canal was built in 1857 and undergone many changes throughout the years. It was optained by OLVG in 1994. The complex contains four sections, running from the Prinsengracht onto the Kerkstraat, and measures circa 7,800 m². COD will develop part of the project in collaboration with Harvest & Millten and Maarten Beucker Andreae.
The design and planning by MVSA Architects, in collaboration with Architectenbureau J. van Stigt, will commence this autumn.
