In the city center of The Hague, two residential towers are being built within the Sonata project; Adagio and Bolero. Both towers will be approximately 90 meters high and together offer space for 456 rental apartments. The 90 meters of Adagio will be built on top of the Turfmarkt garage and that took quite a bit of work. Because if a 2-storey (parking) basement is demolished and built on top, you will have to deal with the pressure of groundwater. This complicated puzzle has led to the application of a unique foundation technique. We tell more about it in the attached video.
